Day four was our last day in the bungalow “resort” before
the village. We learned all about Lightroom. That took forever. Finally we set
out in the vans to have snorkeling day. we had to trek through some sketchy
rocks to get to this beach. That also took forever and I still don’t understand
how I haven’t fallen yet. Since bora couldn’t swim and chase didn’t feel good,
I opted to not snorkel and stay on the beach to entertain them. The sky looked
like it was going to rain, and we had to wait for the tide to come up.
Everybody played Frisbee on the beach. Holly and I sat on a log and bonded over
our mutual hatred for sand between our toes. Ms. Hartman and Mrs. Simon tried
to do cartwheels on the beach and both miserably failed. Simon ate it twice and
Ms. H was only slightly less terrible because she managed to not complete go
face first into the sand. We later headed back to Tovutovu and packed our bags
and headed to the village. it was pouring again. We arrived in the village and
everybody gathered under a shed. They had some sort of ceremony that was cool. The
Fijian boys did a really cool dance. We went to sleep that not on the floors on
our mats. The first night of many village nights. sorry for the short post lol
